Will there be pets?
We love the idea of fighting dogs, birds, and others. The major issue for us in getting them in early is the many animations needed. However, we can assure you that they are on the list for the future.
What forms of movement will be available?
For Beta, we are simply planning walking, combat moves, and bending down. This list will increase for the live game, the options are not yet finalized..
How will world travel in the game work?
It will be a large world and one would wear out a lot of boots walking it. Therefore, the Teleport spell and some associated abilities will be available for high level Magic users.

• Only high level Magic users could possess the spell.

• Magic users could open a temporary portal that they could enter and others could also quickly behind them.

• Some non-magic users will be able to obtain artifacts that will simulate the spell.

• Semi-permanent portals would exist between key locations. Semi meaning they would not always be there. They would not appear during a Dark Solstice.
Tell us about Guilds, Clans, Alliances, Brotherhoods, Leagues, etc.
While we will encourage players to engage in the social aspect of Guilds, we will in no way penalize those that choose not to join. Membership will be strictly voluntary.

However, there will be certain activities that can only be experienced as a Guild member, for example, storming and overtaking a castle. This will be possible only by a Guild. We will compensate by offering alternative activities for solo players. Along with the castles, there will be small keeps throughout the land. These can be attacked by solo players.

All Guild members will have some outward sign of their affiliation. At this point it may be a special article of clothing, a badge or emblem, a special sash, an identifying symbol on the "look at" screen, or some combination of these.

• All members will able to chat on the Guild channel. Non-members will not be allowed.

• Each Guild House will be unique, complete with cellars and secret passageways.

• A member will be able to enter simply by touching the entry door. All others will be blocked.

• Members will vote on leaders. Under certain circumstances, members may call for a special election and may vote leaders out. More details later.

• Leaders will vote on new applications for membership. Rules for new members will be set but may be modified by a full membership vote. Any change in rules must be approved by the Association Committee (comprised of players and Staff).

• Group hunting (all Guild members) can gain experience for the entire Guild - not extraordinary experience but a plus gain all the same.

• Guild groups only will be able to storm and hold one of the castles of the land.
What is the number of people that can join in one guild?
At this time, there is no limit planned for Guild membership.
How many races will there be?
There will be six races. We are not planning any quadrupeds or other non-bipeds for Beta. Beyond that, all possibilities are open for discussion in the live game version. Tell us about some you would like to see. We may even have a contest about it.
What races will be available?
We have 6 races planned. No non-bipedal races have been planned....YET. The races include:

• Human

• Nanusean – dwarflike creatures

• Albusian – distant relatives of Wood Elves

• Idruidian – Druid-like, tall thin

• Groth – Giant Orc-like

• Atramental – Dark Elves
Will there be different languages for each race?
We did discuss the possibility of having different languages for each of the 6 races but even though it might have added to the immersion factor, it was felt that community and ease of communication trumped it. The important fact is that players can immerse themselves with the scenery, music, and sound FX. All of the chat options will of course be optional.
How will the races be different other than look and possible language?
The races will have some inherent ability differences. Things like strength, intelligence, endurance, and skills will vary by race. At this time there is no planned language difference.
What will chat options be?
There will be tabbed windows. Players will be able to chat locally, world wide, on certain specialty channels, within their defined group, and on their Guild or Clan Channel.

Player defined channels will also be available. Individual player to player messages will of course be supported. The concept of cartoon-like bubbles, while whimsical is not practical for ongoing conversations. We even thought about using them for emotes but we have opted against them in favor of chat windows.
What profession types have been settled on?
The number of Professions and descriptions that will be in Beta are not yet finalized. We’ll make details available as soon as they are.
Will players have houses?

Each player will be given their own house. For Beta, all players will start with the same basic house. They will be virtual houses with the same rooms and decorations. When the game goes live, we are planning house expansions that will include additional rooms, furnishings, cellars, gardens, and décor.

In addition to these virtual homes, we are looking into a variety of permanent houses available for purchase (save your coppers, they will be very expensive). Details on the style and type of these homes are still being planned but they will most likely come in a variety of prices and locations both in town and out in the “suburbs”. It is even possible that wealthy players can develop their own communities complete with gated entrances and guards. Even though it will be a while before we reach that point, it is fun to speculate and plan.

Where will the permanent houses be located?
When a player purchases a permanent house, there will be many areas in which they can be located. In some cases, there will be "empty lots" in town where they may locate. Others may choose from a wide variety of designated areas outside of any village where the homes may be located. These permanent houses will be like all other buildings in the game, they will be persistently present and they can be entered by walking through the door, no portals needed.

While there might be some great satisfaction in finding that perfect glen to build your dream house, there may also be some risk. Houses that do not have the protection of the village guards will be more prone to theft, arson, and attack. But fear not, we have some protective measures planned.
Will there be a premium placed on the empty lots in towns?
Yes. Empty lots inside the village limits will be VERY expensive. Lots in the boonies will of course be less expensive.
